Almond Milk Poached Pears
Whilst Debbie can’t tailor the recipes on a blog to every individual’s conditions and body the way she does with her clients, she does hand-select the recipes based on healthy ingredients put together in the most inspiring ways. Inspiration is the best step towards embracing genuine nourishment!
- 1tbsp coconut oil
- 1 pear, quartered
- ½ a cup (120ml) of almond milk
- 1-star anise
- 1tbsp mint, roughly chopped
Melt the coconut oil in a frying pan. Once melted add the pears to the pan and cook evenly on each side until they start to turn golden brown. This should take 2-3 minutes on each side.
In a separate saucepan, heat the almond milk with the star anise until it starts to simmer.
Add the chopped mint and leave to infuse for a minute or two.
Place the pears into a bowl, remove the star anise from the milk and pour over the pears. Enjoy on its own or over a bowl of gluten free porridge.
