A New Understanding

Trusting in abundance
Abundance is a trust that you are provided with perfect opportunities (support) when you let go of rigid desires – when you stop being a slave to them (and they are always external to you… I want this house, this position, this partner, this lifestyle…).

Trusting to abundance means you encounter life rather than push/control life. Ambitions in the external (to you) don’t feed you with emotional fulfillment. The illusion, despite evidence to the contrary, is that you will be ‘happy’ when these desires come about.

Wellbeing is about understanding you have to be relaxed, flexible and inspired to connect to your purpose and truth in order to feel emotionally fulfilled.

Connection not convenience…
Being in love with a real life, not settling for things you perceive make you feel safer… they are usually the things that cause conflict within you. In the settling you loose yourself and confuse yourself and your body. These conflicts cause stress, irritation and in our opinion disease.

Creating your whole life from assurance and love…
Guide your actions by feelings. If it makes you feel good, get involved. If it makes you feel apathy or stress, step back or refine…

Discerning reality from illusion…
Your mind creates all perception. Are insecurities, desires, resentments, disappointments etc crafting your beliefs and values?

Your experiences may bring you to self-protection, shutdown, addictions, disease, irritation… Are you shutting off the wisdom found in all experience?

Breaking free from the ‘slave mentality’… to your past, to your authorities in life – to other people’s judgements and opinions, and to fear for survival…

Can you break free from all these emotional dependencies to master true independence?

None of the journey to authentic wellbeing is simple or easy. We are so tied into this old way of being, we start off completely asleep to the multitude of ways we define ourselves, accommodate, appease, aim to impress, manipulate and shut down when things don’t go our way. Have you suffered enough from this way of ‘living’. Would you like to be freer within yourself to live the life that would fulfill you?

Diagnosis takes on a different meaning. We can identify the subtle physical imbalances creating symptoms and diseases but we strive to answer the why/causal base of your suffering on the deepest level.

A few practices to help…

Meditation and visualisation
Relax, let go of the worries and the plans. Give your body a break from the stress neurotransmitters. These neurotransmitters affect the way you feel, emotionally and physically.

Get out of your head and notice all the beauty… Make a point of observing it all and shutting all other thoughts down. Notice how astonishingly difficult this is at first, which perhaps for the first time gets you observing your mind….

Have fun
Laughing with vibrant positive people flips the neurotransmitters… feed your cells happy ‘chemicals’ from your own internal pharmacy

Release your feel-good endorphins

Whatever you choose… savour the experience…savour the tastes, views, music, touch, kindness, and wisdom going on all around you. We feel deadened to these sensual experiences most of the time, immersed instead in ambitions (future) or pain (past). Ground yourself more and more in the moment.

The struggle. Every minute. We are all in this together. Understanding this, opens up possibilities for forgiveness. Forgiveness is freedom.

This Week’s Recipe from Honestly Healthy Food:

Important: Debbie is selecting recipes with combinations of ingredients to inspire your cooking regimes, but while they are healthier choices in general, they will not address individual issues. You MUST make sure that all ingredients you use are compatible with your own individual medical conditions, medications, allergies and goals.

Organic Ingredients:
80g coconut flour
1 tbsp mixed herbs
pinch pink salt
3 free range organic eggs
2 tbsp coconut cream or yoghurt
1 tbsp sunflower oil (W.S Note: we would recommend virgin olive oil)
½ red onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic
200g cherry tomatoes sliced
¼ cup water
3 tbsp water
Hard goats cheese
Lemon zest
Pre-heat oven to 180 °C
To make the base weigh out the coconut flour, salt, mixed dried herbs and pepper. In a separate bowl beat the eggs. Add the eggs to the flour mixture and once combined add the coconut cream or yoghurt.
Line a tray with baking paper and smear a tbsp. of oil over the paper to make sure it doesn’t stick. Push the dough down onto the baking tray with your fingers. Keep pushing the dough towards the edges to make a round or oval shape. It should be about 3-5mm thick. Put into the oven for 15 minutes or until golden.
While they are in the oven make your tomato sauce. In a frying pan put the sunflower oil, red onion and garlic and sauté on a medium heat for 2 minutes. Next add 3 tbsp of water and continue to sauté until the water is absorbed. Add the tomatoes and a further ¼ cup of water and leave to reduce for 15 minutes stirring occasionally. Take off the heat when the tomatoes have broken down and it is a nice thick sauce.
Take the pizza base out the oven and spoon the tomato sauce over the top and then add your toppings of choice. I like grated goats cheese, sliced mushrooms. Put back into the oven for 5 minutes till the topping is melted.
Serve with a sprinkle of herbs, zest and cracked pepper.
